What are wrinkles?
Wrinkles are small folds or creases in the skin that develop as collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid levels gradually decline as you age. These structural components are responsible for keeping skin firm, hydrated and resilient. As they reduce, skin becomes thinner and less able to return to its original position after movement.
Wrinkles tend to form in areas of repeated facial expression or where skin is naturally thinner, such as the forehead, around the eyes and mouth. Over time, lines that initially only appeared with movement soon become visible even when your face is resting.
