What is Fractional CO2 Laser Treatment?

Fractional CO2 laser is a powerful skin resurfacing treatment that targets multiple signs of ageing and skin damage in a single procedure. While some laser treatments are less invasive, the fractional CO2 laser delivers deeper and more transformative results. It works by directing an ultra pulse beam of carbon dioxide across the surface of the skin, removing ageing and damaged cells while stimulating the deeper layers to repair and regenerate.

Tiny microscopic heat channels are created in a precise pattern. As the skin heals, new collagen forms, blood vessels tighten and the underlying tissues rebuild to create smoother texture and a brighter, more even complexion. Fractional CO2 laser can tighten sagging skin, soften deep wrinkles and treat concerns such as acne scarring, sun damage, uneven pigmentation and dark age spots.

One of the major advantages of CO2 laser resurfacing is the ability to achieve significant improvement in a single 60 to 90 minute session. The technology works through a process known as Selective Photothermolysis, where water within the skin absorbs the laser energy and generates heat. This creates two simultaneous effects, a precise ablation of damaged cells and a thermal response that stimulates deep tissue renewal.

Some redness, dryness or mild swelling may appear after treatment as part of the natural healing process.

Some concerns may require a course of treatments for optimal results. Typical recommendations include:

This was done within 30 minutes and just 3/4 weeks later you could not even tell there was a mole there. Amazing results and such a fantastic supportive friendly team. Highest Medical Treatment: it was money that held me back from having a varicose vein on my left calf treated. The NHS would not treat it. last year when money was available to me I found Adsum Aesthetics on the internet and spoke to Aga the practice manager. She was really very professional and really felt a human caring connection to the treatment described. Id not heard of the Foam Sclerotherapy treatment but thought that this was the way to proceed. I was offered immediate treatment at the consultation / assessment stage and after a local anesthetic walked out of the door 30 minutes later continuing my days shopping in London. Done away with is the painful general anaesthetic stripping of veins. I am now four months into the treatment, and the vein has gone and have no more tenderness /swelling but a normal healthy leg for the first time for many years. My final check up is in July, 6 months after the initial course of treatment. I was so impressed throughout the treatment. The clinic in Upper Whimpole Street was so fantastic and personal and private. I really felt a high level of caring and consideration.
